I'm looking any information I'm from Northern Ireland with Irish passport but my driving licence is UK
We are making the move to spain after Christmas this year do we need to change our driving licence now or can we even do it now will?? will this be a problem for us after the date has passed or will we need to sit driving test etc I'm so confused we will only be applying for residentecy in the new year

That's a tricky one, you are an EU citizen with your Irish passport, however, you have a non EU 'British driving licence' which is not on the swap list for now in Spain, you can change for an Irish one with an address in ROI. Only short stay tourist can drive here with a UK licence right now & those who did not apply to exchange before the end of December 2020 are stuck with having to take a new test. (For now I have given up driving due to this problem)
