For me it's a no brainer. Contact Margaretha Skjelsbaek [email protected] http://www.norestates.com/
In my opinion she's the most professional estate agent on the costa del sol. She's Norwegian, lived on the costa for years and speaks perfect English. We dealt with a few when we were buying and she was a breathe of fresh air, head and shoulders above the others. If you do contact her just say that you have been speaking to Andy Powell
I hope that helps.

It's always a good idea to drive or walk around places /areas to see if you like them frst. Find out how near to shops/ bars/ cafes/restaurants and the beach plus transport services. That way you have the heads up when the agents suggest a property and then you can ask where it is and not waste time viewing just because the agent says it's a nice property (and they always will !). Location is always the most important criteria.
While looking around yourself you may see agent signs or private signs outside properties and you could make arrangement's to view ones you like from outside.
Get a solicitor/Abagado on board ready as you need one for your safety when buying. There are plenty of recommendations on here but beware of using any agents solictor as they will be working in the agents favour and will not be independent to you.
Good luck.
Mar at EasyEstepona, near the Marina.
The whole team there are highly recommended. Dutch but perfect English.
Great after sales or after renting service. For example, in October there were floods all along the coast, and Mar came round on a Sunday evening to check we were OK.
And very honest too. I went in a few weeks ago with a query, and overheard them talking to a Swedish couple, telling them that they didn't advise them to sign a purchase contract on a villa because they hadn't yet sold their own property. They were explaining that there would be a financial penalty if the purchase fell through, and although they would still get their commission if it did, from the deposit, they would rather lose the commission than have someone lose their double deposit with the penalty.
Easy to email her. Mar(@)EasyEstepona (dot) com
Good luck, it's a gorgeous place to live!
Hi we bought a property near Estepona last year. We used Tracy at DPI Direct property Investments. They are based near Carrefour in Estepona. Tracy is English but has lived in the area for years. We got stacks of impartial advice , taken to each property. She is very friendly and helpful, knows everyone in the business and is very honest and patient.
When we had chosen our property she sorted everything out for us, helped us open bank accounts, introduced us to a fabulous solicitor and when we got the keys and had to do all the legal stuff she came with us to the notaries.
If you make contact with her, it’s worth mentioning that Annie and David suggested her. We still see her and stay in contact. She’s that nice,

Hi
We bought a property near Estepona a year ago and used adpropertyspain.com . The guys name is Drew and he was so helpful to us , picking us up and driving up to property for viewings . He works along the costa del sol and has many useful contacts . He is English but has lived in Spain for over 20 years . Check out his website , I wish you good luck in your search . We ended up buying a property in Casares Beach , we love it .

Yes Mar and her husband Michael are good.
Buying off them at the moment
I can't give you any advice re agents but agents will likely make commission on how much you pay. Perhaps there is someone on here that can verify this as the case. If so, well ….just make sure you don't pay more than you have to.
