Hello, I paid on line to get my NIE number, paid the money, got an email to say an appointment was arranged for me to go to Antiquera, was told I need 4 passport photos, when I got there I didn’t need the photos and it was a hassle, my husband has decided to let our Spanish solicitor get his for him

Hi, I would wait till in Spain as best to get it your local police station. Costs about €10. If not sure you can pay for help.

Look for an Abogado (solicitor) and they will do everything for you and they are reasonable. I still use my Barclay's card here with no problems, although I do have Spanish cards as well now
