You must be able to prove you are fully vaccinated before travelling.

The changes also apply to under-18s resident in one of these countries, whether or not they are vaccinated.

Upon arrival

Fully vaccinated people coming to the UK need to take a lateral flow test two days after arrival.

'Passengers need to book tests before travelling to the UK'. After the test they they must send a picture to verify the result. The lateral flow tests for travel must be bought from private providers - NHS kits cannot be used.

Thanks but my question refers to the printing off of a PLF which is required to return to the UK as i will have filled in the form on my iphone and prefer a hard copy, Probably an age thing but i worry that my phone will cease up or loose the information

You can submit the form any time in the 48 hours before you arrive in the UK. It’s free to submit the form.

You’ll need to show your form when you check in to travel or board your plane, train or ferry to the UK.

So yes you need to print the form -  lots of places offer that service.

Its not scary but you do need your Day2 test reference (assuming you are double vaxed). The PLF asks you to upload your Covid Vax confirmation, but there an option if you cannot (We could not as unhelpfully the PLF asks for a single QR code on the covid pass, the NHS doc has two QR's) Tried photo...

... of one of the QR's but couldn't be verified. NO WORRIES, we completed without covid pass verification, they said they would check later but did not.

Once you've done the PLF (& have your covid pass) you can complete your travel carriers API (Eurotunnel in our case)

Travel was simple, show passport at Spain/French & UK customs (get your passport stamped as you leave otherwise you'll still be classed as being within Schengen)

And that was it, PLF was not requested (you couldn't travel unless you've uploaded to your airline/tunnel so no need for them to check again)

In summary I wouldn't worry about printing your PLF, although I do understand you might want the comfort of holding a hard copy, its not necessary.

The questions do get repeated but basically you’re asked for name,  address,  telephone number,  passport number,  flight code,  seat number.

It takes less than five minutes to fill in.
