Hi is there anyone from the Coin or Alhaurin do Grande going to the Wilco gig in Marbella in August. We are considering a move to Coin from the UK. I am 74 and my husband is 70. I will have a EU passport (application in process for an Irish passport ). My husband just has a British passport. We have read about the Golden Visa scheme and if the purchase of our property goes ahead then we would qualify.

What we are concerned about is health insurance, obviously we won’t be working so wouldn’t qualify for social security. I did a quick online quote and with a pre existing condition, nothing major, the quote came back as €900 pm. 

Just wondering what other expats have done regarding insurance,any advice warmly welcomed.
