You'll probably do better to ask this question by adding a comment to your original post and not by starting a new one as many people won't have a clue what you are talking about.

As for the barbershop, I can't help, except to say, that boots on the ground and doing your own research is the way forward, not asking a bunch of people that you don't know for business advice. On the off chance that you stumble across somebody that has a good knowledge of your business area in the area that you are asking about do you really think that what is likely to be a competitor is going to give you great advice to then presumably set up in competition? I know that I wouldn't. So you can't seriously trust anything that you are told. I am not trying to be unhelpful, simply realistic. If you are serious, get yourself to Coin, walk the streets, see the competition, maybe quietly trial them yourselves, look at space availability, rents, running costs, talk to a property agent, do the maths and take a view as to how viable it is likely to be in the real world. And that's just the business, you then have to think about where you can live, how much that will cost and will this business idea support it. I know that I wouldn't trust massive decisions like this on an anonymous person on a forum.....however, if you see that as part of the research I would also look at Facebook groups for the area and Facebook business groups for the Costa Del Sol in general....you need a wide variety of opinions from all manner of people and not just Maud from Doncaster whos daughters friend went to Coin once 10 years ago.... (not disrespect to the imaginary Maud)

I think the general tone of your reply is good for many enquirers. It's very difficult to tell someone you have never met, know nothing about, what is good and what's not. There is no substitute for physically putting yourself in the actual place you are thinking of coming to. I did, and found it wasn't what I was looking for after all. I only found where I now live by a lot of time wandering around the area. Thanks for such an honest and comprehensive comment!
