Thanks Dave.

I have done my history on buying houses and watching a place in the sun, that houses in East Malaga/Inland are a lot cheaper than Fuengirola where we usual go on Holiday

Lots of restaurants/Bars in Velez and Torre del Mar beach is 10/15 minutes away on a bus

Cheers Dave

Warm Regards

Steve

Dave, exactly why we chose east of Malaga to buy. Not only pricing, but this side is less built up / touristy than west of Malaga. Oh, and the mountain scenery just north of here is amazing (as it is on all of CdS)

Cheers Dave.

Hi Steve, no we haven't bought, but we had our own caravan in Torre for ten years, then rented for about the 10 yrs. Seen a lot of changes over the years but last time was Jan 19 when we were last there. Because of restrictions we have cancelled our Xmas holiday. Its too much hassle and far to expensive for pcr tests. We thought in June when I booked that we were over it. Hey ho, we live in hope. DAVE F

Hi Dave.

I know what you mean when we went to Torre del Mar in August 2021 it was only for 3 x days bit of a rush job, but had to go and see estate agent (Buy a home Spain) Angela, she took us to the house in Velez Malaga, we had to open a Spanish bank account in Torre del Mar. Go and see our Lawyer about the Notary as she was going to be power of attorney in our absence. We stopped at Hotel Torremar, we had to have a lateral flow test at a local chemist 2 x days before coming back, fill out Passenger locator form, our 2 x day PCR cost us £70 each which is ridiculous, I hope I can get a cheaper PCR test when we go in February, we are only going to get keys for house and other documents,

and some furniture, i.e double bed, bedding, some portable radiators, CD/Radio, med size TV etc, Angela from Buy a home spain) said we can borrow one of her cars, she's a lovely lady (from Salford originally) she and her husband have lived in Torre del Mar for 15 x years.

At least when we go to Velez in Feb it will be for 10 x days, we ar stopping at Hotel Dila in Velez for 3 x days, gives us chance to run around and get some furniture for the house, then we will be staying at our house for 7 x days.

Cheer's Dave

Warm Regards

Steve

We came back to the UK on 8/12 and we had an antigen test at Malaga airport and it only cost just over £20. Go online and book an appointment then you don’t even have to queue as long.  Much easier than finding a place in Torre del Mar and have it taking up time on the last day of your holidays, you need to be making the most of the sunshine before you come back to the gloom!!!!

As you enter the airport at the front you turn left and walk to the far end of the check in hall. The testing is being carried out just after the Farmacia, almost opposite the area for the special assistance for the less able.  Hope that helps.
