...he rules are the same. Once you reach retirement age you should request an S1 in your own right. This was just prior to brexit but no doubt someone with more recent knowledge will say if the system has changed. Hope this helps.

As long as the UK DWP put your partner on your S1 from DWP as a dependant they will get the same health cover as you. The spanish health office just want the names on the S1 (together with Padron, residence card, passport etc) to issue the health cards.
