Hi, has anyone had HALO (hemorrhoidal artery ligation operation) guided by Doppler in Spain?

If so I need some info  please.......

1) Can it be done on the Spanish NHS?

2) If not which Hospital/Clinic does this procedure?

3) What is the cost?

Any other information would be appreciated

Hope someone out there can help?

Regards

J

Hi J,

I had hospital treatment for piles over thirty years ago.

It involved elastic bands being fitted on each one.

I had 3 done.

It cuts off the blood supply and it shrinks.

Very successful, no problems since, I'm 70 now.

Perhaps they don't do the Halo system in Spain.

My treatment all those years ago was quick and painless.

I have every confidence in the Spanish health service, they do a lot of common sense procedures that have been adopted by the UK health service.
