Hello all 🤗. I am researching where to buy a property in Spain, Manilva and La Duquesa look beautiful, does the train from Malaga Airport go to this part of Spain? Are the easier ways to get there (not too expensive)?

Thanks Patricia 😊

Hola

Trains stop at Fuengirola probably because it’s too hilly. Buses go from Airport and stop at San Luis de Sabanillas. There are bus stops at La Duquesa but not even the tourist information people know why buses don’t stop there. Taxis are 100€ each way. More buses go to Estapona bus station. It takes 20 mins from we are in Duquesa to walk to bus stop at Sabanillas.

It’s a good idea to download the Avanza bus app which tells you bus numbers and times.

Hope it helps.

Trains stop at Fuengirola so that won't really work for you. My guess is that the easiest & most straightforward way to get to and from Malaga airport would be the bus from/to Estepona bus station and then a taxi or uber from/to your property in Duquesa/Manilva. The bus is as cheap as chips and taxis are not expensive.

I hope that helps.
