Hi,    I am a Scottish lady (67).  I have visited quite a few places on the Costas over the years from Barcelona to Malaga. I am planning on visiting Fuengirola and Benalmedina soon. I like lively places, plenty going on especially music, easy to meet up with groups, good transport connection to other towns/cities. I’m leaning towards Fuengirola due to its larger size but any tips would be really helpful to narrow things down. So far, my favourite has been Alicante. I think Estepona is a little further from other towns than I’d like but I’m willing to hear others’ views.

Thanks so much for reading this.  Margaret

Hi Margaret,

Fuengurola is quite lively.

Puerto Banús has a lively venue called La Sala.

Estepona is beautiful but it's a bit out the way.

Regards,

Chris

HI

Alicante is on the Costa Blanca and is quite a different scenario from the Costa del Sol...it's lively places are Benidorm to the north and Torrevieja to the south...on the Sol, Torremolinos and Benalmadena are particularly lively in the season with lots of live music...Estepona is some considerable distance south and unless you are planning on driving backwards and forwards a lot, then it needs some careful thought.

Make sure and pop to Mijas Pueblo and Benalmadena pueblo whilst you are there.

€1.10  approximately on the bus from either Fuengirola or Benalmadena to either Pueblo.

Hi Andyjam99,

I will check these places out. I was in Benakmedina many, many years ago so will revisit. Never been to Mimas Pueblo.
