Hi, my wife and I were advised to purchase sims cards each in Spain.  We are coming to Spain for a 3 month stay in Feb, Mar & Apr.  We have been advised  that a local sim card could be more cost efficient.  Our present provider O2 only allows 63 days as "being reasonable".

1 Which sim card would you recommend?

2 Can we still keep our existing mob numbers?  This would be essential.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Steve

Any of the UK pay as you go sim such as  Lebara works fine in Spain though your mobile number would be different.

We use Lobster Mobile  You buy a month at a time & don't buy when you don't need it, e.g when away from Spain - number retained so long as you buy once a year. There are various data plans available

Cannot say how costs pan out for regular use, we don't use it much at all, as our time in Spain is included within our UK providers monthly plan, so we only have it for when you are required to have a Spanish number - deliveries of larger &/or signed for items usually

A different SIM comes with a different number, if retaining your UK number is essential, I cannot see how a different SIM will work for you

If your UK SIM has free usage in Spain, just use that, no need for a second SIM
