We are only at our apartment partly in the year but feel wifi connection would be beneficial.
Our connection in the wall has coax and what look like a grey RG45 (telephone?)

The phone connection you describe is likely to be either RJ 45 or RJ 11.
The coax could be terrestrial TV or If it is a threaded F connection satellite TV.
It could also be cable to premises for Internet provision to a router.
In any case the network provider will provide a new connection for you.

Most of the connections are fibre now, they make a new connection, this guy 'Ricardo', Finetwork has some good deala from about 20 Euro a month and speaks good English, you can WhatsApp on 34 640706432. .
