Hi all, I wondered if you could help me with passport dates.  I am flying over on 1st August and returning back to UK ON 10th August 2023.  My eldest Grandson's passport expires on 4th February 2024, will this be ok for his to flight in and out of Spain ? Easyjet's site states 3 months, I spoke to someone last week and they advised 3 months but advised me to contact the Spanish Embassy in London.   I emailed them and they responded saying I should check with the Consulate General of Spain nearest to where you reside, which is Duquesa.

If anyone knows, please tell me as we are starting to panic :-(

Thanks

Karen

It's all about entering the Schengen area not Spain, here are the rules.

Valid passport or travel document: 'The document must be valid until three months after the planned date of departure from the Schengen territory', and must have been issued during the ten years immediately before the date of entry.

It depends on when it was issued as UK was adding extra months. So the true expiry date is 10 years from the date of issue.

Now take 3 months off that to find out if it's valid. Hope that helps
