We have been hosting several Ukrainian women and one young girl (8 years old).  Two of the women (Karyna and Julia) have started a cleaning service in the Calahonda/Riviera area.  They have been working for about 2 months and have several weekly appointments but their schedule is not yet full.  They do amazing work, are very meticulous and have rave reviews from the households they clean.  They charge 10 euros per hour, Karyna speaks good English and they have a car.  If you are interested, you can contact Karyna by e-mail ([email protected]) or by Whatsapp (+38 80632560883)

I was the person that posted the reply about Karyna and Julia, 2 Ukrainian women that are working as house cleaners.  They may be interested and they are very, very good.  Our house looks better than it ever has and we are very fussy about how our place is kept clean.These women can provide other references than ours if you want.  Karyna speaks good English and they have a car.  They live in Mijas so it is not that far to get to your place.

We contacted Karyna and agreed a time that she would come to our house. We gave her the location but then she didn’t show up, just texted me claiming that the road surface was poor, which is true to the extent that many are poor in this area. However It is perfectly drivable. Also when we tried to contact the reference provided, they either hung up or did not answer, by phone or text. Something here does not make sense. Are you and/or Karyna involved in some type of scam to obtain locations of houses belonging to foreign residents? There have been a number of break-ins close by our house recently and so we are concerned. 

No we are not.  Karyna came over just now and explained that the road was very bad, that it was much further away than she had anticipated and that she worried that if something happened to her car, she would be stuck in the middle of nowhere.  She is from a large city and has not travelled much before.   Obviously country roads are a big issue for her.  Call me if you want more details.

I am sorry that this did not work out.  She did  try to reach you when she became scared.  I am sorry for the problems and hope that you can find someone from the local area to clean your place.
