The idp only applies for visitors.
If you haven't already applied, you are now obligated to re-take your driving test, in Spanish. There is no 'swapping' agreement.
There is no way around driving here on UK licence.. if you get pulled over by Guardia civil they will ask where you are staying ? Check your Uk licence they can check on computer to see if you are resident my passport has full page visa in it! So if they asked to see passport it’s shows long term visa snd residency..
