Hi Breda

I have just returned from to UK Marbella and am toying with the idea of coming out to Spain some time to run an art course.

I would hope to attract people who live in Spain and would offer painting, drawing and digital art.

Perhaps you might like to tell me what kind of art course you would like to take.  This would help me as I am in the early stages of gathering information about how to proceed.

thanks and best wishes

Hi Breda

Thankyou for this reply.  I am just in the early stages of planning this. I feel it could be a very good experience if I could assemble a group of like minded people who could develop their skills together in a supportive and adventurous manner.

May I ask what kind of painting you do - representational or abstract?  Do you have a favourite subject?

As soon as I have formed some definite plans and a time schedule, I will contact you again.

In the meantime, may I ask if I am correct in this:  I feel that the people who might attend my course would probably be already resident on the Costa.  If I am right, this will decide my marketing and my arrangements.

May I recommend a favourite podcast of mine which is a goldmine of ideas about many aspects of painting - this is the Savvy Painter podcast: https://savvypainter.com/podcast/

Thankyou for your reply and I hope to be in touch again.

best wishes

Pat

Hi Breda

Thankyou for your interest.  At the moment, it looks as if I am not ready to start a class in Torremolinos because of family reasons.

I do hope you can find some way or group to further your interest in painting.  You may already know this but there are many tutorials and channels on youtube that you might find help you to progress.

Other than that, finding other people who would like to paint and establishing a group to meet and work together might help. Dedicated time at the end of a group session for discussion of people's work and helpful suggestions is often successful.

I wish you all the best
