We are having work done to our house and the builders were great, but they didn’t complete before we had to return to U.K.  since we have been back in the U.K. all work has stopped and I can see from photos sent by a neighbour that materials we did not ask for are waiting to be fitted.  I have contacted the builder to ask about why work has stopped and the materials.  I was told they couldn’t gain access to the community.  That’s bullcrap.  It’s not a locked community (except for a few gates) and they never contacted me to ask about it.  They put the materials down to a misunderstanding, but that’s bullcrap too.  Now they’re avoiding my messages and calls.  How would you deal with this?  Any similar experiences?

My wife, Anne, and I are in the process of purchasing a bungalow in Los Flamencos.  We plan to live there maybe 6/12 months of the year and we’re hoping to find social clubs or other groups through which we could meet new friends to help make our new adventure in Spain more fulfilling.  Any ideas/advice/recommendations?

I’m looking to spend some time in las flamingos (or anywhere in the Ireland) doesn’t really matter where.

So I’m looking for advice on where they’re jobs, temp living, visas etc.

If anyone can offer any guidance it would be greatly appreciated
