IPTV no different from any other internet receiving devices, they need a VPN service to receive Geo blocked streaming. It's true the box will just work for local FTA non geo blocking stations.
I use my IPTV from Canada in Spain without VPN. Just internet connection. I get various international channels.

You might well do, but UK main channels are Geo blocked, unless your internet provider does not have a Spanish IP address?

...ped and people lost service. It's always rights holders who put pressure on broadcasters, the reason many TV channels like BBC lost in South of Spain and moved to Astra northern spot beams. At some point the same could happen with popular VPN's and pressure put on people like the BBC to block like Netflix. It might be worth adding, fixed priced VPN's steaming limit data and at times, when busy, can effect data and limit quality, also sometimes causing buffering. (Professional ones like Amazon Web Services, AWS, charge for data used and no bandwidth limitation). For now the cheap VPN's a great way to get UK TV without the need for a risky IPTV seller.
For those wanting UK TV in Spain and still have a UK home with an internet connection, there is another VPN option. Get a router at you UK address that has VPN server capability. Asus do for example, they have OpenVPN and Wired, OpenVPN is easier to set up. For simple set up you would need a static IP from your UK provider which may be free or an extra charge. This is the simplest way, alternatively a DDNS service but that requires additional knowledge. Once these are in place and you have initiated the VPN server on the router you can then create a client file which you then have choices to use in Spain. You can use this file within the OpenVPN client software on your device in Spain. Alternatively setup your Spanish router as a client VPN if its is available, (not on Olin) or add an additional router but that requires more knowledge. I have done this and have the ability to connect to one router with full VPN connectivity to my UK home and of course network access as if I were there. Not simple to describe on a forum like this, but get an IT guy in to set it up for you.
