Hi staying in Marbella in September looking at properties and we would like to travel to Gibraltar for the day, don't really fancy the coach trips as they seem a long day especially if your collecting people along the way, is there a better option but not to costly
Personally I'd just rent a small car for the day. That's probably easiest option. You can park the car at the border and walk across as this saves loads of time. There is almost certainly a bus service as well but I don't use buses so can't help on that front.

Hi have I travelled from Gibraltar to Malaga by bus which stops at Marbella. You’d need to set off early to get a full day in Gibraltar. You’d need to get off the bus at La Linea bus station and walk over the border into Gib. Gib has fantastic bus service to get you around cheaply, you can buy day tickets. Try GoEuro to see price of ticket to Gib and back. Hope this helps.
