UK TV channels

Hello

We have boxes with our tvs that were installed by Robsat tv some time ago that have 5 UK tv channels. The only way to change the channels is with the remote attached to the boxes but we have arrived to fine the remote will not respond to the boxes and we cannot change the channels. I have tried basic ways of trying to make them work ie changing batteries in the remotes, pulling out the wires from the back of the boxes to maybe clear the problem but the boxes just default to one channel.Can anyone recommend a satellite tv expert that could help me solve my problem. Tricky could be the remote, in which case you would have to try a universal one, but you need to find the code. https://www.lifewire.com/program-universal-remote-control-4171818 (If buy Amazon and does not work you can return)

If the TV has an HDMI input and you have OK internet, it could be worth changing to a Amazon Firestick, with which you have to sign up for a good VPN to watch all the main UK channels. https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/surfshark-vpn

The VPN links internet via a server UK and stops the Spain geo blocking, you just then need a UK address to sign up for BBC iPlayer. ITV Hub.

Hello David

thank you so much for all this information. It will take me a while to understand it all as I am not tech savvy 😂😂 the apebox works on HDMI that’s how it was set up. I just cannot understand why the remote won’t move the channels on the small box that brings in the satellite ? One tv is stuck on itv, one is stuck on bbc news and the other one is stuck on channel 5 !! It just gets very frustrating as we paid a lot for it to be installed by this guy called robsat but he does not seem to be in business now😱😱. I have bought new batteries for the remotes so I will give that a go first and take it from there ! Thanks for all your advice. Julie
