Having just bought a small new flat in Fuengirola … and being reasonably competent at small repairs, fittings etc … rather than bringing my tools from the uk, I’d like to buy my own things from a store nearby/Malaga.  Is there an equivalent of b&q or Wickes locally - or is that a bit much to ask!? I’m after spirit levels, electric drills, bits, electric testers, screws, rawlplugs etc etc. I’m after more than a corner-shop hardware store.

Hi.  There’s a Bricomart near Plaza Major and a Leroy Merlín in Las Lagunas Mijas Costa. There are a number of Big Mat stores around as well as local Chinese shops and ferretsrias

Indeed 'Leroy Merlin' link below, and many big Chinese shops have good value tools. Like the one in C .Mallorca just off Ave - de Mijas.

There is a Chinese bazaar up Ave de Mijas just before the motorway on RHS. They carry most tools needed. Also tools sold in square just beyond Dunnes stores ( they also sell internal furnishings) as I cannot remember name as it’s been two years since visiting my apartment as I will not get ‘jabbed’ with this satanic material. I live in Ireland.
