Very interesting article about face masks!

I honestly doubt that is a genuine cardiothoracic nurse. Honestly, what tosh. I AM a nurse and the whole acidosis/hypercapnea/hypoxia rubbish really needs to be knocked on the head right now.

Masks have limited use, yes, and they are only part of how transmission is reduced. So, wash your hands, keep your distance, AND wear a mask correctly. It's not a big ask, and if you are at all concerned about your risk, or about protecting others, it will make a difference.

Hm, an interesting angle. I agree with some of it. It is not normal to wear a mask for long periods of time,and it probably isn’t very healthy. However, it’s kind of our best line of defence at this point.
