Hi, We're in Fuengirola for a week and we'd love to go to Malaga for the day, Would the train be the beat option. TIA

Yes the train goes into Malaga. Unless you are doing loads of shopping and need the car then this is your best option. Have fun

During the day there are 3 trains an hour between Fuengirola and Malaga although after 9pm there are two each hour.  If you want to go into the heart of the city, get off at the terminus.  You can get a return ticket (ida y regreso)

Not sure how well you know Malaga but when you get off the train there it’s about a 13 minute walk down to the streets around the cathedral with all its lovely shops and bars and restaurants etc and from there just a short walk to the port with further places of interest
