Can anyone advise me on the best way to get money that is paid into a uk bank in to a Spanish bank, would it be by ‘moneycorp’ or similar. I am looking to find the most reliable and cost effective way of doing this.

I use John Lewis International Payments

Never had any problems and they are well known, reliable, safe and quick... but there are many options. Never used them myself but Transferwise seem to get good reviews.

Hope that helps.

Transferwise is useful, plus you can put it on your phone as an app. Transfer at the daily rate, so you can choose 'best time' to transfer

Currencies Direct in the U.K. You can set up a regular transfer with them.  Over a certain amount , (I am not sure what it is now) you do not pay any charges . I have used the for years and have not had a problem.

You would need to check your bank, as I understand it, all currency exchanges cost something, and all companies should state what those charges are. They work in different ways, and you need to determine the best one for your circumstances.

I use Transferwise all the time. Never had a problem. It’s quick easy and rates are really good.

Used Moneycorp to transfer large amount from UK  to buy house here but they don’t seem to want to know for smaller amounts. Lots of calls to them.

I’d recommend Transferwise.

I use Moneycorp..Supposedly much better rates than banks. There are other similar companies but I was told this one is the best. They exchange GBP to Euros and you make an online transfer to  Spanish bank
