One last question - if I up my kWh does someone from Endesa need to visit the property or is it just done remotely - I have no idea 😁

Hi Darlojo

I went to the Endesa office in Estepona and they did it remotely. I suggest that, first, try to do it online and, if that is not possible, then give Endesa a telephone call.

I was reducing my power capacity and Endesa did not need to inspect. It is, of course, possible that Endesa may want to inspect to check everything is safe when increasing the power although 5.75 kW is not a very high power.

If you are calling Endesa on a Saturday, then do so in the morning because I think they close quite early, around 12 Noon.

Let us know how you get on!

Philip

Hi, I did it on-line and I was advised that because I wasn't going above what my property could do - (hope that makes sense) i got a message saying "no paperwork would be needed". So im hoping thats it!

Now just to choose a tariff. I asked Endesa for some facts and figures this morning but it's a minefield. I think the 2 hours per day free or the day/night tariff is going to be best .

Hi Darlojo

Simples!

The best tariff is going to depend on your usage, however, in Spain you will probably have the aircon on during the middle of the day, when it is hottest, unless you are out at work, and not during the night. Likewise for heating. So the 2 hour tariff probably will work out best for you.

Your tariff is not a lifetime commitment!  As far as I am aware, if you change your mind, you can switch tariffs and you can probably do it all online, very easily.

By the way, there are at least 4 or 5 other utility companies and, whilst I think that Endesa are the largest, they do not have a reputation for being the cheapest.

Best to try out your new power rating and tariff, first, and see how you get on, before looking at other providers.

Kind regards

Philip

Thanks Phillip. I'm still waiting for them to reply to my last request. It's "pending".
