Hi there,

I am lucky enough to have an Irish passport and a uk passport so I can work and live in Spain I believe although as I am not a Spanish resident I think I need to complete an A1 form for HMRC. Does anyone know if my husband who only has a uk passport can stay on my back so to speak?

Hi Shivi

This may not be an answer to your question, however, if you are entitled to an Irish passport, then your spouse will be entitled to one too.

Post-Brexshit, it makes sense for your husband to apply for an Irish passport.  It will also facilitate travel to 27 other states within the EU.

Best regards

Philip

Yes you can, he can apply for residency after three months.
