I am opening a bank account next week and wondered if anyone would recommend the ones in Frigiliana.
I have my NIE number but not residencia yet.
Someone told me there are different rates for non-residents, but it's a catch 22 cos I have to have a bank account to get my residencia, haha!
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

We opened a bank account with Cajamar Rural. It was pretty easy to do and there was only an opening fee to pay. The only problem now is that there is only a cashpoint in Frigiliana so the actual branch is in Nerja.

Thank you, I was considering them. Nerja isn't too far and a trip there can be combined with other shopping needs I suppose.

Hi.
I opened an account with Banco Sabadell who have a branch in Torrox but also have an agreement with Unicaja bank, and others, that you can withdraw from their ATM without charge as long as it's over €65.
They also cancel bank quartely charges when you become a resident as long as you pay in €700 to your account.
