Thinking of buying a property in the area.

Please can you tell me is there a good choice of Spanish and English bars and restaurants in the area,

Does the area stay open all year round.

T, there are many local, English and Irish bars in the the area, in Duquesa itself, and La Castilla and Sabinillas nearby. In a ´normal´ winter the place is busy, Duquesa a little less than Sabinillas which has more of a local Spanish population. Times are far from normal now obviously and with the COVID restrictions on travelling, Sabi really is the only place with a bit of life through the week at the moment and at weekends. It´s less than 1k walk from Duquesa however, In addition the restrictions imposed last week mean one can´t travel in or out of the Manilva municipality without an approved reason, and given the high incidences of COVID, non essetnial business premises (including bars and restaurants) are closed for at least 2 weeks, open just for deliveries and takeaways. Back to your question, La Duquesa is a lovely place and we are all hoping for a return to normality.

Hi Tracy ,

We retired here in Oct 19 after buying our property in Duquesa 6 years ago .

It is a lovely place to live with many nationalities living here ,plenty English speaking bars ,restaurants, shops in Duquesa,Sabinilas ,Casaand around the area .

Can’t wait for everything to get back to normal ,it is an all year round area but fairly quiet with fewer tourists in the winter months but everything does stay open in Normal times .

Would be a great choice ,if buying a property in Spain .
