Attending your local Intercambio Language group is a good way to meet people, both British but from other countries. They are organised by the local council(Ayuntamiento) There is one in Arroyo de la Miel, it's free and informall.

I believe it is in Edificio Inova, next to the skate park in Avenida Garcia Lorca. Google Edificio Inova or contact tge Foreigners Dept at the Town Hall
