Thinking of moving to Almogia area

Hello.
I'm a Spanish resident currently living in Almeria province. For a number of reasons I am considering moving to Malaga province and Almogia appears to be a possibility for proximity to Malaga and airport and the existence of a bus service! Is anyone able to comment on the pros and cons of living in the area, particularly for a woman alone. Many thanks in advance.
