Hi everyone, my name is Andy, hoping to re-locate from South Africa to Spain in the near future, been to Fuengirola a few times and really love the Spanish way of life etc. Been looking online and am really keen on Alhaurin el Grande, any advice on the area would be greatly appreciated, again, hello to all.

Alhaurín el grande is really nice. Very typical Spanish town. The locals are really friendly and will bend over backwards to help. Very convenient for the airport and Malaga and also for the costas

Alhuerin el grande is a nice place and very easy to get from Malaga airport whilst on 30 mins drive to Fuengirola, la Cala Mijas etc. There is a great SA bar/restaurant called the Boma just by BP garage on way to Alhuerin that you should check out. Good l

Hi, I would agree that Alhurin is a nice place to live - as your at a higher altitude the temperature is usually a few degrees cooler than the coast. There is a good fast road down to the coast but police cars are often hiding just out of sight to catch the speeders! We lived there for 6 months & only moved to Fungerola as the daily return journey (twice) to my daughters school became to much!!
