You need Broadband, a smart TV and an Amazon Firestick

 I use Everbit in Alora and pay 24.99 € pm for 100 Mbps which is capable of 4k definition (unlike my TV…)

BBC iPlayer BBC Sounds, ITVX, Channel 4 etc can then be downloaded from the Amazon App Store

I’m using express vpn on my Amazon fire stick and am getting itv app and bbc iPlayer and c4 and c5 apps no problem.  I found other vpns don’t work as well

We also live in Alora, and same as Tworowans we use Everbit to supply our broadband (they have an office just off the main square in Alora) and we are very happy with their service.

We don't use British TV much and currently just using BBCiplayer and Itvhub via the laptop using a VPN which we then 'cast' to the smart tv when needed. Its probably easier to get an amazon firestick as per tworowans, but we tend to use netflix and youtube etc on the smart tv more.

Im a real technophobe and bought a smart tv from costco preloaded with netflix but i want to simoly watch spanish tv etc. i thought that all the channels would just appear once connected to the aerial like in the uk but they dont and my handyman says i need a firestick even just to watch spanish tv. Surely thats not right is it?

No that doesn't sound right. Normally you go through the process of automatically scanning for channels during initial set up. In our case we even selected the default audio language to English so in lots of cases the programme and film is undubbed so to speak, and comes out in original English even on the normal spanish TV channels.

When you select live TV on your smart tv, is there no option to scan for channels?
