Is there good public schools in velez Malaga?

Hi me and family are thinking of making the move, we were going to rent locally first to see if the children settle etc before buying. I am wanting to know is there many public schools in velez Malaga? And is there plenty amenities and things to do for children? Any info would be great thanks.
