It was "tongue in cheek" - I apologise if seemed rude, just seemed a little odd visiting a Latin country, plus the home of such a fantastic culture as Flamenco & seek UK Northern Soul.

I did think the the Northern Soul request was just a bit strange, imagine a Spanish person going to Blackpool and asking where they have Spanish flamenco music.
As for Jazz and a cup of tea? Well Jazz is more a global art form like Classical music, in fact harmonic structures and composition the classical music of today. Spain does embrace a lot of Jazz and my son flew here last year, from the US for a Hiromi Concert, Jazz en la Costa – Almuñécar Summer Jazz Festival 2023.
Hiromi is the best Jazz pianist in the world today, in video with Simon Phillips perhaps the worlds best drummer, you wont see the audience drinking cups of tea!

Northern soul isn’t based in Blackpool , and Spanish persons would not visit Blackpool , it’s too wet 😂

Nerja doesn't have much of any music really. The Ayuntamiento pretty much shut most of it down over a row about live music licences. There are some places who still have it but it's mainly bands and solo singers. There is a place called Submarine that has had 70s discos but not sure if northern soul is on the playlist. There are some nightclubs/night bars, but they have mostly modern music.

Yes indeed, all connected to below link, it's tricky to play music in bars and restaurants, all do do with noise protection.

We reside here for the sun and the Spanish way of life theoretically
In the UK we expect other nationalities to conform to our way of life and it has not happened.
Hence the problems we now have in the UK
Northern soul is still played in many UK cities which is where it should remain, not on the beautiful sun drenched Costa Del Sol.

Got to disagree with this. Northern Soul is universal, most of the tracks come from the US, I know many Spanish who love NS
In regards to the OP. I was in Nerja in February and didn't find anywhere playing NS.

Correct the music originates from the US but would not be globally called Northern Soul, which was a dance club movement in UK.
Below in a club in Spain, but I think mainly for Brits. Sunset Beach Club Benalmadena - a few years ago.
