What are the pros and cons of Spanish residency if you’re no longer a UK taxpayer?
Pros and cons of Spanish residency?
Pros and cons of Spanish residency?
If you have Spanish residency (Green card) then you are obliged to complete your annual income tax and pay whatever is owing. Paying tax comes along with residency in any country. There is a personal tax allowance in Spain but the threshold is lower than in the UK so its very difficult to avoid paying some sort of tax.
Please note there are always some exceptions and without knowing your specific situation I always advise talking to a professional lawyer/accountant.
