Coming Soon.......... Golf club membership

Hi,

Very pleased to have found this forum and in the coming months will ask lots of questions. 

We are planning retirement and are looking left and right of Marbella at the moment at villas and have slowly started to get a feel for what is possible.  We had planned to visit, in early June, for a full week of viewings and to get more of a feel for a few areas - but Covid is still creating issues and the UK Gov't might delay trips abroad further!!

It is for retirement - Yoga, Tennis and sun for my wife and relaxation, golf, some tennis for me. So we will have loads of far more 'important' questions in the coming months. 

But, I wanted to ask a golf question - We have visited many times and played golf on almost all occasions. On one such occasion we met a group where some had played tennis that morning while others played golf and they had all gathered afterwards for drinks and snacks - we have always said that it is exactly what we would hope for should we make the move.

So, I love my roll-up Mid week and Saturday. Any thoughts on which clubs in the area are best for this and what the annual fees might be (Are Joining fees common, is to easy to get t-times etc and are there local inter club competitions etc. 

I am trying to get a list of recommendations.
