Hi everyone. Is there a train service from Malaga Airport direct to Velez-Malaga ? It's for when we arrive at Malaga Airport, I don't want to have to keep relying on our daughter to collect us, we would rather find our own way to Velez. Bus could be another option, maybe ? Regards, Steve.

Hi there. Getting from Malaga airport to Velez, you first have to get to Maria Zambrano bus station. There is a shuttle bus leaving from right outside the airport building every 15 mins for 4€. You could also take a train, but the bus is easier. It will take you to the bus station, where you get a ticket from the Alsa booth inside the building for Velez. There is usually a helpful member of staff who will operate the ticket machine for you. The bus leaves about every hour from the very last platform, no.38, I think. The journey takes between 50 mins snd 1 hour 10 mins, depending on if it is a direct bus or not. In Velez, the bus stops at La Mata (ring the bell) or at the end station.
