I have an S1 form. I have a Padron certificate. 

My Lawyer tells me I have to apply to the Spanish Consulate in the UK. 

Any information would be appreciated.

... to obtain your visa. The cost for the visa was £516.00 and the lawyers costs were approx £1700.00 if I went through them to process my application and you have to apply in person. They are very strict with what information they require. Not sure if you are in Spain at the moment so it could be a different procedure for you.

I'm trying to find out as much information as possible before I jump straight in.  I was hoping to retire to Spain but feeling totally frustrated with all the new legal stuff.
