Hi folks,

I hope you don't mind my posting here but I'm looking for any ideas or help/advice. I'm a car enthusiast who has inherited a car from a family member who passed away this year, and I'd like to get said car back to the UK, Edinburgh to be precise.

The car is sitting on a property located approx 10 miles inland from Torre del Mar up into the hills and it hasn't been used for some years. Getting it onto a transporter and back here before doing any real work to it is my preference. It was my uncles car and I did work to it here in Scotland 15 years ago when it was imported from the USA. It was subsequently taken to Spain but ended up unused. I want to keep and use the car myself.

I can organise transportation from here at circa £1500, less if someone is already doing a trip in one direction. My thinking is that there is a chance ex pats have used transportation companies for moving cars or may know of any dealers who may be delivering/receiving cars to/from the UK. I am not seeking out cheaper options, more making logistics easier. I am thinking it might  be best if the car could be taken to a local garage that it could be collected from. It may save me a second trip purely to meet a transportation person but also the car is up into the hills, up narrow roads and therefore perhaps not the most accessible place for a car transportation person to find/access. However, I would say it would still need transported initially, but maybe on a smaller transporter or trailer to get it somewhere accessible.

Anyone have any ideas on helping make this work, perhaps particularly considering the car isn't presently in running condition? I should add driving it back isn't something I want to enter into. I really want it transported to then work on it.

Sorry for long first post. Any ideas on it from the Spanish end appreciated.

Scott
