Hi everyone,

As I am contemplating retiring in the Costa,I don’t know which one yet,and I’m 74 years of age,for the time being I enjoy reasonably good health. However,i’m looking further down the field to the day when health issues will inevitably become problematic.

Can anyone help me with Aged Care Centres/Accommodations in the costas.

Does anyone know of people already in those outlets, how good are they, what is the care like,is language a problem if you don’t speak Spanish and finally what are the costs involved to live in one those centres.

I would be very grateful for any information regarding this topic.

Thank you,

Alex

Hi Alex,

I don't know of any myself, but if you contact Age Concern, I'm sure they'll be able to help and answer any questions you have.

Good luck in finding the answers you need.

Heh Alex,

Why are health issues inevitable?  Living in Spain you may live a long and healthy life with no particular issues. Here is hoping we all do anyway.  :)

BUT, that said, great to have a backup plan and it looks like Sian and Sherrie have given you some good starting advice.

Good luck with the transition to a Spanish lifestyle.
