Hello,
Does anyone know if there are any restrictions on travelling in Schengen with a Spanish registered car? I.e. can I travel for say 3 months or is there an insurance car limitation when outside Spain?

Hi Erica, I would say check with your insurer
I say this based on UK insurers, some offer full Europe cover as part of the standard poilicy, others you must extend for trips as & when.
Spanish insurers might have similar territorial limits differences

Hi Andrew, thanks for getting back to me. We were considering buying a car in Malta, but all the car insurance companies only cover driving outside the country (inclusive in the policy) for one month. Just wondered if Spanish car insurers were more liberal. We don’t have a car in Spain yet, just doing some investigation first!
