Hola, we are bringing our two dogs to Spain and would like to know if anyone has been through the process recently? Can you share any information please? Been told by vets today they need a health certificate (£150 each) as they don’t have passports, also rabies vaccination (£55 each) and microchip which they have, is this right?  Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you 😁

Hi he’s only been here 5 weeks, but I presume like ourselves stay in the shade.I’ve lived here before for many years and have many expats who have relocated their pets. All of them seem to adapt yes it’s hot but dogs find shade you’ll get used to not walking your dog at certain times it’s too hot.I’m sure your dog will be fine.

Yes I’m sure they will both be fine and like you say walking them will be first thing early morning and last thing in the evening. They will love it 😁

Hi

We returned to England in February with our two dog who have UK pet passports no trouble entering through Dover, but trying to return was another matter!

As you say we had to get a ten page health report for each dog having been refused entry at the shuttle checking which cost 160 pounds each and is only valid for one trip.

We now have Spanish pet passports as uk ones are no longer applicable in Europe.

There is a period between the 1st and 2nd rabbis jabs.

Regards

Ian
