Malaga Car Hire. Always use them. Find them fair to deal with.

Download the Rentalcars app onto your phone. They regularly send you offers from the suppliers anywhere you are travelling too and discounts.

I've used doyouspain.com for 3 years and although you have to be eagle-eyed on the small print, out of maybe 30 rentals, I've only been stiffed about twice :D

I learned to avoid Del Paso as they really do illegally get you to buy their insurance at the counter (wouldn't let me take the car without it, despite having my own, and then they denied it afterwards). They're also off-site, so not convenient.

In my experience, it all depends when you get the car. Time of year, and avoiding key holidays. I often was able to get a car for 28 days for around 120-150 euros.  Assuming you don't buy their insurance (or doyouspain's insurance) and don't get a second driver, it keeps the costs down.

I ended up using Goldcar and Record Go the most.  Always best to go for full/full.  And have your own excess insurance (insurance4carhire.com for around £75 per year for 2 people, and I made a claim once because I'd backed into a wall and they paid it really quickly, without a quibble).

We always use Bruno car hire, as everything is included and no hidden extras .
