We are thinking of purchasing a property in Andalusia and would like some advice on transporting the dog from England to Malaga airport.

Has anyone used British Airways or the ferry crossing to Spain with their pet.

Hi Gary
I’ve used the ferry many times with my dogs. I think it’s the easiest way. Or you can use the channel tunnel crossing and take your time driving through France. I found there were many dog friendly hotels on the journey down. I flew with my dog once and she hated it!

It is important that any dog you take with you when travelling to Spain is vaccinated against rabies. The rabies vaccination must be repeated annually. Cordially, René

We drove from Scotland to antequera using the channel tunnel, we've 2 dogs and had the same concerns as you!, Plenty of dog friendly hotels throughout France, just ensure your dog's paperwork is in order as they're scrutinized at the crossing.

I hope this helps!
