Hi I am being well overcharged for my electricity and when I checked my metre I noticed it wasn't even switched on
I have tried ringing the electricity board but can't seem to make them understand the issue
Can anyone help I have been charged over 600 euro since Feb 16 and have only spent 5 weeks of this year there.

That does seem a lot. We pay between 50 and 60 every 2 months - We are only there abut 12 weeks a year and it only goes up to around 70 when we have been there. Most of the bill is made up of standing charges.
If you have a Fiscal representative/ Solicitor who helps you pay all your Non Resident taxes then I would contact them to see if they will help you find out what's happening. We pay a fee each year to retain our Solicitor to pay the taxes for us and they are very helpful if we have a problem with anything and don't charge for advice like this by email.
