There’s also Leroy Merlín at san Julián -really close to the airport

That was what I was going to suggest. There’s also a Leroy Merlin in feungirola 

Leroy Merlin  Malaga, not far from airport.

Did you check out Bauhuse ?.

There's also bricomart by the airport. 

Leroy merlin & bricomart are by the airport, bauhaus is on the industrial estate where the ITV is.
