Hi,

I am currently in the UK. I am a mortgage broker and my partner is a builder. We do not own any property in Spain but, we would love to move to the Mijas area or surrounding within the next 12 months.

Looking for advice for myself about whether there is much call for an english speaking mortgage adviser. I am fully CeMAP qualified. I was also wondering, if any mortgage brokers already there could advise me if I need anything in addition to my CeMAP to enable me to make the transition smoother?

If anyone could advise on what type of visa we would need too, that would be wonderful.

Thanks

Amanda

CeMAP) is a UK-specific qualification for mortgage advisers offered by The London Institute of Banking, it will not count in Spain, UK no longer in EU due to Brexit, there is no mutual recognition of qualifications. I guess you are aware you now need a Visa/Residence permit to move here? Good luck.

...k.

HI David,

Thank you for letting me know it is not recognised, I will have to look into that to see if I can do anything from here. I would much rather try and get the qualifications needed before I go if at all possible.

Yes, aware of the visa situation.

Thanks for replying!!
