Hi. I am moving to Yunquera soon, around the end of July. I would be interested in meeting new friends. I don't speak much Spanish, as I have been living in an area where I got by with the basics, but plan to learn more.

Advice on our upcoming move please? - 2 replies
Hi All, Firstly thank you for taking the time to read this.
My husband and I are looking to finally move the end of this month. He has a job to commence in Marbella, we have a rental agreement for a home in Yunquera, now..he had dual citizenship but Spanish passport is awaiting renewal (appt booked for 26th April in Manchester). Should be straightforward but we then have to wait for it to be posted from Spain to England etc..can we travel with just uk passports showing work and rental contracts overland (then collect passport in Spain).. many thanks
What is Yunquera like for owning a holiday home? - 0 replies
Hello.Newly joined,so to the experienced readerthis may sound naiive!I'm looking to buy a townhouse in the general Costa del Sol area, having previously rented during winters on the Costa Tropical. On my budget, a house in the white villages will be all I can afford. I've been looking as far inland as Pruna, but Yunquera is a relatively short hop to the coast , looks very picturesque but not spoiled by tourism. I've done the "street view" google tour (well out of date) thing, researched climate etc etc. I would be coming out for spells of a couple of months at a time, including winter (Jan & Feb). I anticipate some cold days in winter, even some snow occasionally(?), but generally blue skies and sunny. It seems there are shops/entertainment in town, but is a trip to elsewhere a necessity for supermarkets etc,and if so,where?Any remarks and experiences gratefully received.TIA.

Hiya
I will staying in Mijas Peublo this coming Christmas.
We plan on viewing a number of properties while on holiday with a view to relocating.
This may be a daft question but if I relocate I will need to earn an income.
I ain’t a tradesman but but very capable at diy and gardening.
Does anyone think there’s a need for these services within the region.

My wife and I will be travelling to Spain this coming Christmas we will be staying in Mijas Pueblo. We have visited Spain many times of the last decade.
We have seen a number of properties in Yunquera for sale. If they are still for available while on our visit we will be viewing and making a purchase and relocating to Spain.
