You have a big industrial estate in Velez opposite Macdonald's,  plenty of furniture stores and cheap, one called Buffalo.

There are some second hand furniture places around. The Cudeca in Calle Infantes, Torre del Mar is good and there is another one on Avenida de Andalucia at the end of Caleta, just before you get to Algarrobo Costa, on the right hand side. Another one is at the mercado mayorista in Velez, right at the end of the road. For white goods, there is Worten and Eroski in the El Ingenio or 2 shops in Velez Malaga, one in Camino de Malaga and one in Calle Lope de Vega.

Thank  you for your advice. We like to get some older furniture second hand as it's often better quality and obviously cheaper! Do you think most places deliver or should we be hiring a van??

I know that the place in Caleta delivers, not sure about the other shops. When you go and have a look, just ask them. If they don't deliver, it might be cheaper to hire a man with a van for an hour rather than hiring a van for a day, I think they charge about 20€ per hour. Good luck with your purchases and I hope you'll enjoy your new life in Velez! We have been here 4 years now and love it.

Actually, if you are on facebook, there is a group called Torre del Mar buy and sell. You might find them useful.
